In Gujarat, 5 persons were killed and as many others injured after a bus collided with a truck on the Ahmedabad-Vadodara Expressway in Anand district early morning on September 30.
Police informed that the accident occurred when the private bus was trying to overtake the truck on the expressway.
The bus was carrying 30-40 passengers. The police rushed to the spot and launched an investigation.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi expressed grief over the loss of lives in the accident.
In a social media post, he said, ‘Deeply saddened by the loss of lives in a mishap in Anand, Gujarat. Condolences to the bereaved families. I pray for the speedy recovery of all those injured.’
