Delhi Traffic Police has issued a traffic advisory for today in view of the law and order situation in New Delhi. In its advisory, the Traffic Police said that traffic movement is likely to be affected on various stretches across the national capital during the day.
It said that, depending on the prevailing situation, traffic diversions may be enforced at some major junctions and stretches in Delhi. The affected stretches include Minto Road, the roundabout at Mandi House, Guru Nanak Chowk and Lodhi Road Flyover, among others.
The Traffic Police has advised commuters to plan their journeys in advance and allow additional travel time. It has also urged motorists to avoid non-essential travel through the affected areas, follow diversion signs and the directions of traffic personnel, and cooperate with Delhi Traffic Police to ensure smooth traffic movement.
