New Delhi, October 12, 2026: The Delhi Metro Rail Corporation (DMRC) has announced restrictions on passenger entry and exit at six major metro stations in Delhi on Monday, October 12, amid ongoing protests against Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.
According to the DMRC, the restrictions have been imposed due to security concerns. Passengers will not be allowed to enter or exit the six designated metro stations between 6:00 AM and 4:00 PM.

However, metro interchange facilities will remain operational at these stations, allowing commuters to change trains as usual. The DMRC issued a service update informing passengers about the temporary restrictions and advising commuters to plan their journeys accordingly. Passengers travelling through the affected stations on Monday are advised to check the latest metro service updates and plan their routes before leaving home to avoid inconvenience during their commute.
The restrictions are expected to remain in effect for the specified period as part of security measures amid the ongoing demonstrations.
