The leaders of several countries arrived in New Delhi to participate in the 18th BRICS Summit. Iranian President Masoud Pezeshkian will meet President Droupadi Murmu in New Delhi today. The meeting is expected to focus on strengthening India-Iran relations and boosting cooperation in key areas.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also hold several bilateral throughout the day. The Prime Minister will meet his Ethiopian counterpart Abiy Ahmed Ali at Hyderabad House in New Delhi. India and Ethiopia share a Strategic Partnership and are working together to advance cooperation among BRICS countries.
Prime Minister Modi will also be holding bilateral talks with his Malaysian counterpart Anwar Ibrahim, who has arrived in New Delhi on Friday. India and Malaysia share close and longstanding ties, marked by growing cooperation across trade, investment, digital economy, defence and security. The visit builds on the momentum of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Malaysia earlier this year.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Crown Prince of Abu Dhabi Sheikh Khaled bin Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan will also hold meeting today. An opportunity to further strengthen India-UAE Comprehensive Strategic Partnership centred on robust trade and energy security for shared prosperity.
PM Modi will also be holding bilateral meeting with Xi Jinping, President of the People’s Republic of China, later in the day.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi will also be holding bilateral talks with the Prime Minister of Vietnam, Le Minh Hung, in the national capital.
