US President Donald Trump said he has no regret over the conflict with Iran, even as it could impact the November US midterm elections.
Trump said that he does not believe in the word “regret” and dismissed suggestions that some of his supporters were upset and demoralised about the conflict.
The US President asserted that his supporters are proud of the fact that he was not letting Iran have a nuclear weapon.
The sharp jump in oil and gas prices due to the US-Israeli conflict on Iran has become a major issue for Republicans in the lead-up to the elections. Trump reiterated that the conflict would be over immediately after the midterm elections.
