Delhi Metro recorded a significant rise in passenger boardings on Monday, with the total reaching 80,54,968, an increase of over 8.3 lakh boardings.
The rise in passenger boardings may be attributed to the implementation of GRAP-II measures and restrictions on the operation of certain non-BS VI vehicles in Delhi, encouraging more commuters to shift to public transport.
To facilitate passenger movement, Delhi Metro is operating 40 additional train trips and making further arrangements at stations as and when required.
