The Indian Army is looking at ways to transform its existing combat platforms for the future battlefield with a greater focus on drones, artificial intelligence, precision weapons and other emerging technologies.
The Western Command has launched the curtain raiser for the MECH TECH Seminar 2.0, an initiative aimed at bringing the Army, Indian industry, start-ups and academia together to develop practical technological solutions for soldiers on the ground.
The focus this year is clear — “transforming existing platforms for future combat.”
Western Army Commander Lt Gen Pushpendra Singh said their key objective is to harness the best of Indian technology and innovation to give the existing combat platforms a decisive edge on the future battlefield.
