Eid Milad-un-Nabi, the birthday of Prophet Hazrat Muhammad, is being celebrated with religious fervour in various parts of the country today.
“Milaad Mehfils” and “Seerat Conferences” will be held, highlighting the life and teachings of Prophet Muhammad. Milad processions are also being taken out to mark the occasion. Elaborate security arrangements have been made for the occasion.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi has extended greetings to citizens on the occasion of Milad-un-Nabi. In a social media post, Mr Modi expressed hope that this occasion furthers togetherness and joy all around the world.
The Prime Minister wished that the spirit of kindness and giving back to society always guides the countrymen.
