India’s Ministry of External Affairs (MEA) has confirmed that all 22 Indian nationals serving as crew members aboard two foreign-flagged vessels are safe. Sixteen Indian seafarers are on one ship, while six are on the other.
The MEA says it is in touch with the concerned authorities and is closely monitoring the situation to ensure the safety and well-being of the Indian crew members.
The MEA Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal in the bi-weekly media briefing once again reiterated that India attaches high priority towards the welfare and safety of our seafaring community.
