The Uttar Pradesh government has carried out a major administrative reshuffle, transferring 34 IAS officers last night. District Magistrates of 14 districts have also been changed. According to the transfer order, several senior officers have been assigned new responsibilities, along with changes in the district administration. The districts where new District Magistrates have been appointed include Hardoi, Moradabad, Etah, Amethi, Kushinagar, Kanpur Nagar, Sant Kabir Nagar, Pilibhit, Ballia, Baghpat, Mahoba, Bijnor, Hathras and Hamirpur.
The reshuffle is among the significant changes in the state bureaucracy, with new postings given to senior IAS officers as well as district-level officials.
