The Delhi Government will organise four major programmes today on the occasion of Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s birthday. The programmes are centred on service, dedication and public participation.
Additionally, to mark the completion of 25 years of Prime Minister Modi’s public life, the Delhi government will launch a month-long Seva Sankalp Abhiyan. During this period, various projects related to transport, roads, sewerage, water treatment, education, electricity, public amenities, and urban beautification will be inaugurated or have their foundation stones laid.
Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta said that more than one lakh diyas will be lit at Kartavya Path today under the Aashirwad Ka Diya program. Inspired by the guiding principle of Jan Seva Se Desh Seva, the programme will convey a strong message of public participation and the spirit of service. The 1.25 lakh diyas lit together will symbolise citizens’ wishes, blessings, participation and commitment to serving the nation. Meanwhile, a mega blood donation camp will be held at Thyagaraj Stadium from 11 AM to 5 PM, with a target of collecting 2 thousand 500 units of blood.
Delhi Chief Minister said that a 108-kund yagya will also be organised at Khatu Shyam Delhi Dham on GT Karnal Road in Alipur. The yagya will be held as a prayer and expression of good wishes for the Prime Minister’s good health, long life and continued service to the nation. Furthermore, a Namo Shramik Seva Kendra will also be launched for laborers, offering services related to registration, document verification, and welfare schemes all under one roof.
