Andhra Pradesh received a major infrastructure boost as Prime Minister Narendra Modi today inaugurated the Alluri Sitarama Raju International Airport and launched key infrastructure projects across the state.
Developed under the Public-Private Partnership model at a cost of over ₹5,640 crore, the state-of-the-art greenfield airport is designed to handle 6 million passengers annually. It will strengthen connectivity for North Andhra and open new avenues for tourism, trade, investment, and employment.
Prime Minister Modi also launched key development projects worth over ₹17,900 crore related to infrastructure, connectivity, and culture, boosting commerce and tourism. The projects will strengthen air connectivity, expand renewable energy infrastructure, boost semiconductor manufacturing, improve road connectivity, and create new opportunities for investment, employment, and regional growth.
The Prime Minister laid the foundation stone of the ASIP Semiconductor Project.
He also laid the foundation stone for the Transmission System for Integration of Kurnool-IV Renewable Energy Zone (REZ) – Phase-I.
