President Droupadi Murmu, Prime Minister Narendra Modi and Union Home Minister Amit Shah have extended greetings to the people on the sacred occasion of Jagannath Rath Yatra.
President Murmu, in a social media post, said that during the grand procession, Mahaprabhu Shri Jagannath, along with Chakraraj Sudarshan, Lord Balabhadra and Devi Subhadra, comes out to meet devotees. She wished that the blessings of Mahaprabhu Jagannath bring happiness, peace and prosperity to the country and its people.
Prime Minister Narendra Modi described the Rath Yatra as a symbol of India’s timeless spiritual and cultural heritage. He said the festival embodies values of humility, collective participation and selfless service, and prayed for the well-being and prosperity of all.
Union Home Minister Amit Shah said the world-famous Jagannath Rath Yatra represents unwavering faith, trust and devotion. He said the sacred procession preserves India’s rich cultural heritage and prayed for the happiness and well-being of everyone.
