India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued a red colour warning for Very Heavy Rainfall with isolated Extremely Heavy Rainfall over Kerala and Mahe today. Heavy to Very Heavy Rainfall conditions are also expected over parts of Northeast India, Karnataka, Tamil Nadu, Puducherry and Karaikal for the day. Similar conditions have been predicted over Sub-Himalayan West Bengal, Telangana, Konkan, Goa, Madhya Maharashtra, Rayalaseema, Andaman and Nicobar Islands and Lakshadweep.
The Weather Agency predicted thunderstorm accompanied by lightning and gusty winds over Delhi, Haryana, Chandigarh, Punjab, Uttarakhand, East Uttar Pradesh, Madhya Pradesh, Jharkhand and Jammu and Kashmir today. Meanwhile thundersquall conditions are expected over Bihar, Chhattisgarh, Odisha, and Rajasthan today.
Furthermore, IMD forecast Heat Wave conditions over Coastal Andhra Pradesh for the day. The Met Department also predicted Hot and Humid weather conditions over Odisha today.
