Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson Esmail Baghaei said on Monday that Iran and the U.S. have “reached a conclusion on a major part of the issues under discussion,” but the signing of an agreement is not imminent.
Baghaei noted that negotiations at this stage have focused on ending the war on all fronts. He also addressed different aspects of a possible deal, saying a ceasefire across the war fronts — including Lebanon — is part of the draft agreement.
He added that details regarding the management of the Strait of Hormuz are still undecided. Baghaei further said that no Iranian delegation visit to the mediating country, Pakistan, is planned at the moment.
