The United Nations on Wednesday called for civilians and civilian infrastructure to be protected as Israeli strikes and evacuation orders continued to affect parts of Lebanon.
U.N. spokesperson Stéphane Dujarric said the United Nations was concerned about evacuation orders and airstrikes against Lebanese towns, including areas in south Nabatieh, the Bekaa, Saida, and West Bekaa.
The U.N. also raised concern over attacks affecting health workers and medical facilities in Lebanon. Humanitarian agencies said emergency personnel and health services have come under pressure as violence continues, worsening the humanitarian situation for people already displaced by the conflict.
