The Israel-Lebanon ceasefire has been extended by three weeks. US President Donald Trump on Thursday announced that Israel and Lebanon have agreed to extend their ceasefire for an additional three weeks.
In a post on Truth Social, President Trump said the truce follows a meeting between Israeli and Lebanese officials in the Oval Office.An initial truce was announced after the first meeting between the ambassadors on April 14 and was due to expire on Sunday. Later, speaking to the media, President Trump said he expected Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and Lebanese President Joseph Aoun to meet jointly with him at the White House during the ceasefire.
