The United States and Israel have intensified strikes on Iran, with attacks increasing in scale and frequency, as per reportage, amid uncertainty over possible negotiations.

Iran has rejected talks, saying it will continue to “resist” US aggression. US President Donald Trump said Iranian leaders want to

 “make a deal”

but also criticised NATO, stating the United States “needs nothing” from the alliance and accusing members of doing “absolutely nothing” on Iran.

In the latest developments, Israeli Defence Minister Israel Katz said an airstrike killed Iran’s Revolutionary Guards naval commander Alireza Tangsiri, whom he described as responsible for attempts to block the Strait of Hormuz.

Two people were killed in Abu Dhabi after debris from an intercepted ballistic missile fell on Sweihan Road, while three others were injured. In Israel, at least six people were injured in Kafr Qasim after missile debris struck the area.

Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu said operations are being expanded in Lebanon as Israel continues its campaign against Iran-backed Hezbollah.

Oil prices have climbed amid fading hopes of de-escalation following Tehran’s denial that talks with Washington are underway.

Analysts say the conflict has strengthened hardliners in Iran, with rhetoric becoming increasingly defiant.

Government sources said crude oil supplies for the next 60 days have been secured, with further procurement lined up.

Liquefied petroleum gas (LPG) supplies are also steady, with cargoes en route from multiple countries and daily distribution stabilised, while commercial allocations have been increased to prevent hoarding.

In diplomatic developments, the European Union’s top diplomat accused Russia of providing intelligence support to Iran in the conflict and called for increased pressure on Moscow.

Meanwhile, ministers from Hezbollah and its ally Amal boycotted a Lebanese cabinet session after the government declared the Iranian ambassador persona non grata, according to news agency AFP.

Iran has responded through intermediaries to a 15-point US proposal to end the conflict and is awaiting Washington’s reply, according to Tasnim news agency.

A senior Iranian official described the proposal as “one-sided and unfair” but indicated a possible path forward if differences are addressed.

Efforts toward a ceasefire continue, but the situation remains volatile.
