India Meteorological Department (IMD) has issued an orange alert for for thunderstorm accompanied with hailstorm over Chhattisgarh, Himachal Pradesh and Vidarbha for today. IMD has forecast thunderstorms accompanied with lightning and gusty winds over Himachal Pradesh, Uttarakhand, Chhattisgarh, Madhya Pradesh, Gujarat, Maharashtra and Interior Karnataka for today. Similar conditions will prevail over Jammu and Kashmir and Ladakh, Jharkhand, Bihar, Andhra Pradesh, Kerala, Mahe, Odisha, Telangana, West Bengal and Sikkim today. The weather agency further predicted thunderstorms accompanied by lightning over Coastal Karnataka, Konkan, Goa, and Tamil Nadu, Puducherry, Karaikal and Rajasthan till tomorrow.
