Vice President of Seychelles, Sebastien Pillay, arrived in New Delhi today for the India AI Impact Summit 2026. A close and longstanding maritime partner, Seychelles’ participation in the summit offers an opportunity to harness AI for the benefit of people and further strengthen partnership.
India also welcomed a close friend and maritime neighbour, the Mauritian Prime Minister Dr. Navinchandra Ramgoolam.
Digital cooperation remains a key pillar of the India–Mauritius Enhanced Strategic Partnership, anchored in deep-rooted and historic people-to-people ties.
The Ministry of External Affairs said Seychelles’ participation offers an opportunity to harness AI for public benefit and further strengthen bilateral partnership. It added that Mauritius’ visit highlights deep-rooted ties and growing digital cooperation under the enhanced strategic partnership with India.

He was received by Minister of State for Jal Shakti Dr. Raj Bhushan Choudhary on arrival at the airport.
