The Prime Minister Narendra Modi conveyed his gratitude to President of Sri Lanka, H.E. Mr. Anura Kumara Dissanayake for inaugurating the Exposition of the Holy Devnimori Relics at the sacred Gangaramaya Temple in Colombo.
The Prime Minister recalled that during his visit to Sri Lanka in April 2025, it was decided that these revered relics would be brought to Sri Lanka, thereby offering the people an opportunity to pay their respects.PM Modi highlighted that India and Sri Lanka are bound by deep civilisational and spiritual ties, nurtured over centuries of shared heritage and cultural exchange. He emphasized that the arrival of the Holy Devnimori Relics in Sri Lanka is a testament to the enduring spiritual bond between the two nations.The Prime Minister expressed hope that Lord Buddha’s timeless message of compassion, peace, and harmony will continue to guide humanity, fostering unity and understanding across borders.
