Prime Minister Narendra Modi will begin his two-day visit to Assam and West Bengal today. In West Bengal’s Malda, the Prime Minister will dedicate and lay the foundation stone for various rail and road projects. He will also flag off India’s first Vande Bharat Sleeper Train between Howrah and Guwahati.
The Prime Minister will inaugurate, lay the foundation stone, and flag off various development projects in Hooghly. He will additionally flag off seven Amrit Bharat trains, boosting rail connectivity between West Bengal and other states. Later on Saturday, the Prime Minister will be in Assam, where he will participate in a historic cultural event celebrating the rich heritage of the Bodo community in Guwahati.
On Sunday, the Prime Minister will perform Bhoomi Pujan for the Kaziranga Elevated Corridor Project. The 86-km-long elevated corridor is an environmentally conscious National Highway project. The project aims to improve regional connectivity while ensuring the protection of the park’s rich biodiversity. The Prime Minister will also flag off two new Amrit Bharat Express trains to strengthen rail connectivity between the Northeast and Northern India.
