Cold wave and dense fog blanketed parts of Delhi today morning, with temperatures dipping to 4.3 degrees Celsius.
Low visibility due to dense fog affected flight operations, causing delays at Delhi airport. The Airports Authority of India has cautioned that weather-related visibility limitations across northern India may lead to flight delays, extended holding, or last-minute schedule changes, and has advised passengers to check their flight status with airlines.
Meanwhile, the government has re-imposed the Graded Response Action Plan (GRAP-III) in Delhi-NCR, banning non-essential construction and demolition activities.
Vehicular restrictions include a ban on BS-III petrol and BS-IV diesel four-wheelers, non-essential diesel-powered medium goods vehicles, and inter-state diesel buses that do not comply with CNG, electric, or BS-VI norms.
