India on Thursday condoled the deaths of passengers in a train accident in Thailand.
New Delhi said that it was
deeply
saddened by the tragic loss of lives and injuries in the accident on Wednesday in Nakhon Ratchasima province.It extended sympathies to the affected families, and, wished a speedy recovery to those injured. The tragedy occurred when a construction-crane collapsed onto a passing passenger-train, causing at least two carriages to derail and briefly catch fire.
At least 32 people were killed and 66 injured, as the clean-up and recovery operations are underway.
