Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath has directed officials to ensure special arrangements for candidates appearing in the NEET examination scheduled on June 21 across 59 districts of the state. Around three and a half lakh candidates are expected to participate in the examination.
The Chief Minister instructed that candidates appearing for the exam should be provided a 50 per cent concession in fare on Uttar Pradesh State Road Transport Corporation (UPSRTC) buses on showing their admit cards. He also directed authorities to make necessary temporary accommodation arrangements for candidates travelling to other districts for the examination and facing difficulties in finding a place to stay.
Emphasising the importance of maintaining the integrity, transparency and sensitivity of the examination process, the Chief Minister asked officials to ensure all arrangements are made in accordance with the guidelines issued by the National Testing Agency (NTA). He further ordered strict monitoring of social media and other platforms to prevent the spread of rumours, misleading information or false claims related to the examination. Authorities have been instructed to take prompt and effective action against those attempting to circulate misinformation.
