Posting on his official Truth Social account, US President Donald Trump said on June 8 that Iran and Israel wanted a ceasefire, but warned that ongoing peace negotiations were ‘subject to ignorance or stupidity.’
Trump wrote, “Both sides, Israel and Iran, are looking for an immediate CEASEFIRE! Final negotiations on ‘Peace’ are proceeding, subject to ignorance or stupidity getting in the way.”
In an earlier post, President Trump said that Israel and Iran must stop ‘shooting,’ as the two countries attacked each other for the first time since a ceasefire two months ago.
‘Israel and Iran must immediately stop ‘shooting’,’ he wrote on Truth Social.
