The delegation, which also includes MPs Manish Tiwari and Tejasvi Surya, is visiting at the invitation of the Japanese government. The visit aims to follow up on the collaborative initiatives discussed during Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Japan in August last year.

During their stay, the MPs held a significant meeting with Japan’s State Minister for Foreign Affairs, H.E. Kunimitsu Ayano. Key topics of discussion included the food economy, trade and commerce, technological exchange, and fostering stronger people-to-people relationships between India and Japan.

Furthermore, the Indian delegation was hosted for a dinner at the Embassy, attended by prominent Members of the Japanese Diet. Dignitaries present included former Foreign Minister Taro Kono, along with Yoshiaki Wada, Iwatani, Teruo Minobe, and Ms. Rui Matsukawa. Dr. Tomohiko Taniguchi, a Professor at Tsukuba University, also joined the gathering to discuss avenues for future cooperation.
