US President Donald Trump on Tuesday announced that the United States had carried out its first land strike in Venezuela.
Speaking to the media, Trump confirmed that US forces targeted a dock facility used to load boats allegedly carrying drugs in Venezuela.
This marks the first US operation on Venezuelan soil since the Trump administration launched an aggressive campaign against drug trafficking networks. Until now, US strikes had been limited to boats in international waters in the Caribbean Sea and the eastern Pacific Ocean.
