India’s Ministry of External Affairs on Tuesday reiterated that Ladakh is an integral and inalienable part of India, asserting that no denial by China can change this established fact.
The statement came in response to media queries regarding comments made by the Chinese side on Ladakh.
Spokesperson Randhir Jaiswal said that the announcement mentions that the 28 places/features located in the Union Territory of Ladakh have been identified with standard place and feature names on the official map of Survey of India.
He further stated that this has been done in consultation with the Union Territory of Ladakh and local stakeholders and is aimed at facilitating their proper identification and creating greater awareness among the general public.
