Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated the 10th edition of India Mobile Congress at Yashobhoomi in New Delhi on October 8. The theme of IMC 2026 is “Scale Without Boundaries”, reflecting India’s growing capabilities in digital innovation, next-generation connectivity and technology-led growth. Union Minister for Communications, Jyotiraditya Scindia also participated in the event. The event brings together global technology leaders, policymakers, industry experts, startups, investors, and innovators on a single platform. More than 150,000 participants from over 100 countries are taking part in the event.
Speaking at the event, Prime Minister Narenda Modi said that until a decade ago, the digital divide had been a major challenge in India, with modern technology becoming a privilege available mainly to those with resource but through ‘Digital India’ mission the landscape has changed.The Prime Minister stated that government initiatives like ‘Digital India’ have made access to mobile phones and data far easier for the common citizen. He emphasized the need for a digital and network security framework and called for the creation of a global framework for this purpose.
