NEET-UG re-examination is being conducted amid heightened alert by administrative, intelligence and security agencies, with the National Testing Agency (NTA) taking extensive measures to ensure no lapses occur.

Ahead of the exam, concerns over paper leaks have kept intelligence and security agencies fully vigilant. The NTA has conducted mega mock drills across the country, with more than 5,500 examination centres set up in 551 cities in India and 14 abroad, converted into high-security zones.

The Education Minister has held multiple high-level review meetings, stating that the government is committed to making the re-examination 100% error-free and transparent.

For the first time, a three-tier security arrangement has been implemented, involving district administration, state police, and central security teams to jointly monitor the examination process. The aim is to prevent any malpractice, cheating or paper leaks.

The NTA has said that it is impossible for any external person or platform to access the question paper before the exam. Indian Air Force assistance has been used to securely transport question papers to sensitive locations ahead of the June 21 examination.

More than 2 lakh personnel, including police and administrative officers, have been deployed nationwide to ensure smooth conduct. Around 2 to 2.5 lakh police personnel will be on duty, with special surveillance around examination centres.

Nearly 15,000 paramilitary personnel have been tasked with securing question papers and answer sheets, ensuring safe transport before and after the exam. To strengthen monitoring, about 1.5 lakh additional CCTV cameras and 15,000 jammers have been installed across centres.
