Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said the aspirations of 140 crore citizens of the country will definitely be fulfilled. He said that the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) has always strengthened the nation’s trust.

Mr Modi was addressing the NDA Conclave at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi yesterday evening. He said the people of the country entrusted the NDA government with their trust after the betrayal of the Congress. He said the rising sun of hope in 2014 has today transformed into a ray of renewed confidence. He said, for the first time, the people of the country have seen that when a government is run with the right intention, development also takes place at a rapid pace. He said the lifting of more than 25 crore  people out of poverty during these 12 years of the NDA government reflects that it policies are correct and its direction is right.

The Prime Minister added that the people of the country have understood the importance of political stability at the national level. He said it is a testament to the maturity of the people that they have given him the opportunity to serve them for such a long time. He noted that the decades preceding 2014 were marked by significant instability and turmoil, causing the country to suffer greatly. He said the people are now witnessing the performance of a stable government and appreciating its decisive capabilities.

Mr Modi said every citizen of the country is filled with the dream of a Viksit Bharat, and this dream is no longer limited to any single individual, government, or political party. He emphasised that it has become the dream and the resolve of every single person in the country and everyone must dedicate every moment to the fulfilment of this dream. He emphasised that the government’s economic and structural reforms are a product of ideological conviction rather than political compulsion.

In his address, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said that at a time when the economies of major countries around the world are struggling, India has still achieved a growth rate of 7.7 per cent in 2025-26. He added that in the last quarter, which ended on the 31st of March, India’s growth was also 7.8 per cent. Mr Modi said the country has moved out of the Fragile Five category and has now become one of the fastest-growing economies in the world.

The Prime Minister highlighted that the NDA government has never hesitated to take decisions in the national interest, including women’s reservation, the law against triple talaq, the CAA legislation, the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita, and One Rank One Pension for soldiers. He assured that this process of bold decision-making in the national interest will continue and move forward at an even faster pace.

Mr Modi said today’s aspirational India is the guarantee of tomorrow’s developed India. He said the country has big aspirations and dreams, and therefore its resolutions and goals are equally large. He added that the driving force behind these aspirations is the middle class and neo-middle class and that the NDA government is focused on fulfilling their expectations by improving ease of living, quality of life, and creating new opportunities.

The Prime Minister said the journey from 2014 to 2026 is not just about statistics but about an India that has begun to realise its full potential for the first time, setting ambitious goals and working tirelessly to achieve them, even in times of global instability.

Speaking on the energy sector, Mr Modi stressed the need to achieve the target of 500 gigawatts of renewable energy at the earliest. He said solar energy is progressing rapidly, but efforts must be accelerated in nuclear energy as well. He added that India is also making significant progress in green hydrogen and green ammonia, which will position the country as a leading player in the global green energy transition.

Earlier yesterday, the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) adopted a resolution lauding Prime Minister Narendra Modi on achieving the feat of becoming India’s longest-serving elected Prime Minister. During the conclave of NDA at Bharat Mandapam in New Delhi, a special political resolution was moved praising Mr Modi’s leadership. The meeting is being held to celebrate NDA government completing 12 years and Prime Minister Narendra Modi becoming the longest continuously serving elected PM of India.

Moving the resolution, Andhra Pradesh Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu said it is a historic tribute to India’s longest-serving continuously elected Prime Minister, Narendra Modi. He is the right leader, at the right time, in the right place, to serve as the Prime Minister of this great nation.

In a social media post, Mr Modi thanked the Chief Ministers and leaders of the NDA for their warm wishes. He said the NDA’s journey has been defined by a shared resolve to further national interest and regional aspirations. The Prime Minister said this spirit has strengthened democracy, deepened cooperative federalism and accelerated development. He said that over the last 12 years, the NDA has provided a stable government that has furthered progress across sectors. Mr Modi said the NDA will continue working together with renewed vigour in the service of the nation and the vision of Viksit Bharat.

All constituents of the National Democratic Alliance (NDA), along with the top leadership of the BJP, attended the meeting. The conclave was also attended by the Chief Ministers and Deputy Chief Ministers of all 22 NDA-governed states and Union Territories, as well as leaders of the alliance partners.

Among those present were BJP President Nitin Nabin, TDP chief Chandrababu Naidu, JD(U) leader Sanjay Jha, Shiv Sena Chief Eknath Shinde, LJP(R) leader Chirag Paswan, NCP leader Sunetra Pawar, JSP leader Pawan Kalyan, HAM leader Jitan Ram Manjhi, JD(S) leader H D Kumaraswamy and RLD leader Jayant Chaudhary.

The meeting also focused on reviewing key national development and infrastructure programmes, as well as the Modi government’s roadmap for transforming India into a developed nation by 2047.
