Defence Minister Rajnath Singh on Tuesday addressed the German Parliamentary Standing Committee on Defence and Security.
He was received by Member of Parliament and Chairman of the Committee Thomas Roewekamp. The discussions focused on the India-Germany strategic partnership and the recently signed India-EU strategic and defence partnership agreement. Both sides also shared their perspectives on key regional and global issues.
During the visit, the minister is expected to hold talks with his German counterpart Boris Pistorius on enhancing defence-industrial cooperation, joint development, and co-production under India’s Make-in-India programme. A Defence Industrial Cooperation Roadmap and an implementing arrangement for cooperation in UN peacekeeping training are also expected to be signed
