Union Health Minister Dr Mansukh Mandaviya is currently holding a meeting with the State Health Ministers on COVID-19 situation. The meeting has been convened in the wake of the recent spike in cases of COVID-19 in some countries.
The Minister also had a high-level meeting two days back where he noted the importance of being prepared and remaining alert against new and emerging strains of COVID-19. He underlined that COVID is not over yet and directed the officials to be fully geared up and strengthen surveillance.
Yesterday, Prime Minister Narendra Modi chaired a high-level meeting to assess the Covid-19 situation, preparedness of health infrastructure and logistics, and the status of the vaccination campaign in the country.
