Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Thakur today launched KTB-Bharat Hain Hum Animation Series in New Delhi. Speaking on the occasion, Mr Thakur said, that Azadi ka Amrit Mahotsav was conceptualized by Prime Minister Narendra Modi to pay tributes to the people who contributed to the Indian Freedom Struggle. He said, it was an effort to remember the forgotten heroes, the unsung warriors of the freedom struggle.
The Minister said Krish, Trish and Baltiboy KTB will present the story of the freedom fighters and their struggle for Independence in a unique way. He informed that the Bharat Hain Hum Animation Series will commence in Doordarshan, Amazon Prime Video and Netflix from the 15th of October.
Mr. Thakur said, this unique effort has been made in 12 Indian languages and seven international languages so that not only the country but the world gets to know about our unsung heroes. He said, after independence, students were taught about some selective people but there were a lot of people who had a major role in the freedom struggle like Birsa Munda, Rani Abbakka and others. He said, the series will help in educating the viewers, especially the kids and students. The Minister said, during Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav, lakhs of programmes were organised across the country to inform and aware people especially the youth about the country’s history and unsung heroes.
