BJP Leader and Union Minister Anurag Singh Thakur today alleged that Crime against women has increased in Rajasthan and the State government has remained a mute spectator.
Addressing a press conference at Party headquarters in New Delhi Mr Thakur said a total of 1.09 lakh incidents of crime against women in the State have been reported in the last four years and 22 percent rape cases in India are from Rajasthan.
Mr Thakur added that Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot should take responsibility and he must resign. The Minister said when his own Minister Rajendra Singh Gudha raised questions on the functioning of the State government, Mr Gehlot has no right to be the Chief Minister of the State. He added that instead of taking any steps against the criminals, Chief Minister Ashok Gehlot sacked Mr Gudha for raising his voice against atrocities on women in the State.
