Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur has condemned the comparison of former Aam Aadmi Party Minister jailed in the liquor scam with Shaheed Bhagat Singh. He said people of Punjab will never pardon the Aam Aadmi Party for this.
Addressing a press conference in Jalandhar, he said that the Aam Aadmi Party is insulting the martyrs by making such comparisons. In response to a question regarding the security of Punjab, Anurag Singh Thakur said that the security of Punjab is of top most priority of the Central Government and no politics can be done on this matter.
In response to another question, Anurag Singh Thakur categorically rejected the possibility of any alliance between the Shiromani Akali Dal and the Bharatiya Janata Party, saying that the Bharatiya Janata Party would contest the elections on its own.
