Lego Ideas, a program operated by the toy maker allows fans to turn their ideas into Lego sets. Anyone can submit an idea and if it gets 10,000 votes from fellow Lego builders, the company may consider making it possible. Angus MacLane is an animator director, storyboard designer and storyboard artist at Pixar. He came up with a LEGO version of WALL-E from the dystopian movie. The set that was created is now available and is a fantastic replica of the adorable character.
Another impressive set that was brought to life through the Lego Ideas process is the massive mech from Voltron: Defender of the Universe. Built with advanced builders in mind, it’s loaded with awesome details, like the pilots’ movable arms, delta wings that can open and close and even a drooping nose.
