President Droupadi Murmu arrived in Nagpur last evening, July 4 for a two-day visit to the Vidarbha region in Maharashtra. She was received at the airport on her first State visit by Maharashtra Governor Ramesh Bais, Punjab Governor Banwarilal Purohit, Maharashtra Chief Minister Eknath Shinde, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari, and Deputy Chief Minister Devendra Fadnavis.
The President will be addressing the 10th convocation of Gondwana University in Gadchiroli this morning. 6 students who have won gold medals in the various academic branches will be honoured at the hands of the President during this convocation ceremony. In the afternoon, President Draupadi Murmu will inaugurate the Ramayana cultural center of Bhartiya Vidya Bhawan in the Koradi temple premises in Nagpur.
