Union Minister of Information and Broadcasting, Anurag Singh Thakur has said the popularity of Prime Minister Narendra Modi is increasing day by day due to his pro-people schemes. He said, in a recently conducted survey, Mr Modi’s popularity has increased by 78 per cent as he is always true to his own words and believes in action. Mr Thakur said the Central schemes of the Modi government are always in the interest of the poor people, especially women, of the country. He also said ‘Sabka Sath, Sabka Vikas’ continues to be the mantra of the Modi government.
The Union Information and Broadcasting Minister was addressing a press conference at the BJP office at Bhubaneswar this morning. He said a probe into corruption in various Central schemes will be initiated in Odisha soon as done in West Bengal, where action was taken against corruption in Pradhan Mantri Awas Yojana. He also said Odisha has received more funds during the tenure of NDA government than the previous UPA government. The Union Minister urged the Odisha government to ensure a speedy implementation of the ‘Jal Jeevan Mission’ to bring a change in the lives of women in the State.
