Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India’s quick response to the earthquake hit Turkiye and Syria has attracted the attention of the whole world. The Prime Minister said that it is a reflection of the preparedness of country’s rescue and relief teams. Mr Modi was interacting in New Delhi on Monday with the National Disaster Response Force personnel involved in ‘Operation Dost’ in earthquake-hit Türkiye and Syria.
Mr Modi said that India recognises the whole world as one family as Vasudhaiva Kutumbakam’ is its culture and when a member of the family falls in trouble then it is the duty of India to help. He emphasised that no matter which country is in trouble and if the matter is related to humanity and sensitivity, then India keeps human interest paramount.The Prime Minister said in Türkiye and Syria the Indian team reflected the spirit of the entire world being one family for us.
During the interaction, Prime Minister Modi termed the efforts of entire team involved in rescue and relief measures under Operation Dost as exemplary. He added that Operation Dost is an example of India’s dedication to humanity and its commitment to stand by nations in distress. He stated that India has always been the first responder to any calamity in any part of the world.
