NIA has started raids on the hideouts of many gangsters across the country regarding terrorist connections. This action of the investigating agency is being done in 50 places including Delhi. The NIA, agency has taken action to end the growing nexus between terrorists, gangsters and drug smugglers based in India and abroad and is conducting raids at several places from Punjab to Haryana, Rajasthan, Delhi-NCR region.
According to media reports, many weapons have been recovered in the raids so far. Delhi Police had registered two cases under UAPA in the past.
