Union Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur attended the opening ceremony of Indian Panorama. Vivek Agnihotri’s Kashmir Files and SS Rajamouli’s RRR will be screened in the Indian Panorama section.
Indian Panorama films represent different languages, regions, and cultures of our diverse country. Kannada, Telugu, Malayalam, Marathi, Hindi, Odia, Manipuri, Maithili, and English films have been selected this year in this segment.
Speaking on the occasion, the Minister congratulated the filmmakers whose movies are being screened at the IFFI. He thanked all the jury members for taking out time to watch all the movies and selecting the best among them for the Indian Panorama. The jury members of the Feature films and the Non-feature films were also honored on the occasion. The cast and crew of the opening movie “Hadinelentu” were also honored.
Mr. Thakur also inaugurated the “75 Creative Minds of Tomorrow” Section at Film Bazaar. He also interacted with 75 young promising cinematic talents from across the country. The Minister congratulated 75 young film talents who have been selected from across the country after a rigorous process. He said the young talent has a bright future. He said this platform will help in nurturing and networking for budding filmmakers. The Minister also inaugurated the Film Bazaar at IFFI which provides a platform for film sellers and buyers from across the world to interact in one place. He said this year’s Film bazaar is unique as it is the largest and of global standard.
