Information and Broadcasting Minister Anurag Singh Thakur emphasized the need for the Ministry and its media units to embrace new communication frontiers and leverage technology.
Inaugurating the day-long Chintan Shivir of Indian Information Service (IIS) in Delhi, the Minister highlighted the changing media landscape and urged officials to adapt their methods of information dissemination to meet the demands of the 21st century. Stressing the importance of the IIS, Mr. Thakur also encouraged collaboration, self-introspection, and effective resource utilization among officers. He called for reaching out to underprivileged sections of society and aligning efforts with the government’s welfare-oriented approach. The Minister urged officials to continually assess their performance and deliver their best for the nation.
