Health and Family Welfare Minister Dr. Mansukh Mandaviya has stressed upon investing in the health, education, and skill development of youth to reap the benefits of demographic dividend. He said youth can be a dominant force for development and global progression.
Inaugurating a G20 co-branded event titled ‘Health of Youth-Wealth of Nation’ in New Delhi today, Mr. Mandaviya said, the health and well-being of the youth are very important for the future of this world.
He said, India’s G20 presidency will be a leap forward to ensure that the needs and the rights of 1.8 billion young people are addressed, and they have access to the resources and opportunities necessary for their optimal development.
Highlighting the various initiatives taken by the government for the welfare of youth, Dr. Mandaviya said, India can contribute immensely to the ongoing efforts of G20 by providing technical support, trained human resources, and sharing digital innovation in the area of the health of adolescents. Minister of State for Health Dr. Bharti Pravin Pawar said, efforts have been made by the government for the holistic development of girls.
