Union Minister for Ports, Shipping, Waterways and Ayush, Sarbananda Sonowal urged the representatives of the G20 member countries to act collectively to make sustainable lifestyle a mass movement. Addressing at the inaugural session of the G20 1st Sustainable Financial Working Group meeting in Guwahati on Thursday morning the Union Minister said that the world must work for a cleaner and a greener society and urged all to cut the carbon foot prints. He informed that India has adopted and promoting the sustainable development for its national development.
Briefing the media, Mr. Sonowal said that India’s G20 Presidency is pride moment for us to showcase the rich heritage to the world. He said, climate change has created a difficult situation for the human race and this deliberation will definitely find out a way out to resolve this global issue.
The Union Minister said that in this two day meet, we will try to identify the difficulties of sustainable finance for climate action and also for equitable growth for well being of the people of the globe. Mr. Sonowal also said that this G20 meet will bring out the roadmap for how to mobilize the sustainable finance for this noble action.
