Education Minister Dharmendra Pradhan today inaugurated National Kala Utsav at National Bal Bhawan in New Delhi. In his address, Mr Pradhan said, National Kala Utsav is an initiative of his Ministry to promote arts in learning and education as well as to nurture and showcase the talent of school students.
Minister of State for Education Annpurna Devi, Secretary School Education and Literacy Sanjay Kumar, Additional Secretary Anandrao Patil, Director NCERT Dinesh Saklani were present on the occasion.
Three day Kala Utsav which began today will witness performances in 10 art forms including Classical and Traditional Folk Vocal Music, Instrumental Music, Classical and Folk Dance, Visual Arts, Indigenous Toys and Games and Solo acting. Around 700 students from 36 States and Union Territories will showcase their art forms in all these genres.
