The stalemate on 27th March 2023, Monday continued in both Houses of Parliament for the tenth consecutive day on the issues of the Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani Group matter and other issues. Both Houses have been adjourned for the day.
In Lok Sabha, when the House reassembled at 4 PM after the first adjournment, Opposition members again trooped into the well of the House and continued sloganeering pressing their demand. The House approved the Finance Bill 2023 as amended by Rajya Sabha amid the din. Lok Sabha cleared the Finance Bill last week and it was sent to Rajya Sabha. As the protest continued, the Presiding Officer adjourned the House for the day.
Earlier, when the House met this morning, members from Congress, DMK and others started raising slogans over their demand for a JPC probe into the Adani Group matter, alleged misuse of central agencies and other issues. Members from Congress, DMK and some other Opposition party members were seen wearing black outfits to register their protest. Amid pandemonium, Speaker Om Birla adjourned the House till 4 PM.
