Proceedings of both Houses of Parliament have been marred by disruptions over the Joint Parliamentary Committee probe into the Adani Group matter and other issues on Wednesday. This is the twelfth consecutive day of the second leg of the Budget Session when both Houses of Parliament witnessed a logjam. Amid the ruckus, the Lok Sabha and Rajya Sabha adjourned for the day. The two Houses will meet again on the third of next month.
In the Lok Sabha, when the House reassembled after the first adjournment at 12 Noon, opposition members including Congress, DMK and others trooped into the well raising demand for a JPC probe. Other opposition members including TMC, JD(U), Shiv Sena (UBT) and others were on their feet. Amid the din, Environment, Forest and Climate Change Minister Bhupender Yadav introduced the Forest (Conservation) Amendment Bill 2023. He also moved The Biological Diversity (Amendment) Bill 2022.
