Rescue and relief efforts are ongoing following the crash of an Air India flight in Ahmedabad this afternoon. Emergency teams are working at the site in Meghaninagar to assist survivors and transport the injured to hospitals via a green corridor established by authorities.

The Ministry of Civil Aviation has activated an Operational Control Room in New Delhi to coordinate response efforts. The public can contact the ministry on 011-24610843 or 9650391859 for updates and assistance regarding the incident.

The
Gujarat State Government has set up a control room
at the State Emergency Operation Centre. Concerned individuals can reach out on 079-23251900 or 9978405304 for official information and support related to the crash.

The ill-fated flight AI-171, a Boeing 787 Dreamliner, was operating from Ahmedabad to London Gatwick. The aircraft was carrying 242 people, including 230 adults, 2 infants, and 12 crew members when it crashed shortly after takeoff.

Air India has launched a dedicated helpline number
1800-5691-444 for families and passengers seeking information. Ahmedabad City Police have also made available an emergency contact at 079-25620359 to handle inquiries related to the crash.

The flight was commanded by Captain Sumit Sabharwal with First Officer Clive Kunder. The cause of the crash is currently under investigation as rescue efforts continue.
